The Godfather - The Coppola Collection

Description

Widely regarded as one of the greatest achievements in cinematic history, Francis Ford Coppola’s epic masterpiece chronicles the multi-generational rise, peak, and moral downfall of the Corleone crime family. Based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel, this sprawling, critically acclaimed saga spans decades of power, loyalty, and betrayal. • The Godfather (1972): The story begins as the aging patriarch "Don" Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) transfers the reigns of his clandestine empire to his youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino)—a clean-cut WWII war hero who initially swore he would never join his family’s criminal underworld. • The Godfather Part II (1974): This ambitious sequel constructs parallel stories: following a young, immigrant Vito (Robert De Niro) clawing his way to power in 1910s New York, while an increasingly cold and isolated Michael expands the syndicate into Las Vegas and Cuba. • The Godfather Part III (1990): A weary, 60-year-old Don Michael Corleone seeks ultimate redemption. He fights to completely legitimise his family's assets through a complex multi-million dollar business arrangement with the Vatican. Painstakingly restored frame-by-frame with enhanced high-definition audio and visual color precision, this definitive collection honors a monumental piece of film history that redefined American cinema forever.
