Vantage Point

Description

8 Strangers. 8 Perspectives. 1 Truth. During a historic global counter-terrorism summit in Salamanca, Spain, United States President Henry Ashton (William Hurt) steps up to the podium—only to be brutally gunned down by a sniper's bullet just moments later. Chaos erupts in the crowded public square, followed by a massive, devastating explosion that shatters the city center. But finding the mastermind behind the assassination isn't a simple investigation. To uncover the terrifying truth, the explosive events of that single, fateful 23-minute window must be pieced together through the eyes of eight different witnesses. Among them are Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox), two elite Secret Service agents tasked with protecting the President; Rex Brooks (Sigourney Weaver), a hard-nosed TV news producer broadcasting the event live; Howard Lewis (Forest Whitaker), an innocent American tourist who caught a vital clue on his camcorder; and a local plainclothes cop entangled with a mysterious woman. As each unique perspective rewinds the clock, a shocking maze of deception, inside jobs, and global conspiracies is unraveled. In this pulse-pounding, race against time, you only know the whole story when you've seen every vantage point.
